Ingrid Lieten (born in 1964) is, amongst other jurisdictions, our Minister of Media, Innovation and Vice-Minister-President of the Government of Flanders.
She obtained her Master’s Degree in Law at Brussels’ University (VUB) and a Special Master’s Degree in Corporate Law, quickly followed by another Master title in ‘Industrial Location and Development’.
She became a lawyer at the bar of Brussels and Hasselt and Town Clerk in Maasmechelen. Her time as Director-General of public transport service De Lijn did not go by unnoticed. Since 2009, she is a member of the Flemish Government.
