Lotte Meijer

Webby award winning interaction designer

Status: confirmed

Lotte Meijer is a no-nonsense interaction designer that works for musea. There she creates interactive things that have a high degree of usability. Currently she is working on a web-app based tour for the Boymans Museum to replace the old boring tours of yesteryear.

This year she also finished working at the Exploratorium, a science museum for children in San Francisco that invited digital creatives to constantly develop new works for their exhibition. While there Lotte created an installation that let people sort themselves into visual groups:

Did we mention she also won a webby for her work on SmartHistory, which is now a part of Khan academy?

Why we invited her

Lotte manages to convince musems to create innovative, fun projects that remain understandable for a wide audience. How does she make her design decisions, and get everyone on board?
