The fourth and final session focuses on the measurement of media diversity. Existing methodologies to measure diversity will be discussed in particular the more and more frequent use of Stirling’s framework; as well as ways and fields to apply them, with a focus on the relation between cultural diversity and economic development. Two papers will be presented:
Maria Masood is a teaching assistant of international trade at University of Geneva, Switzerland. Following her past experiences in development and relief projects, she is currently doing a PhD linking development and cultural economics at University of Geneva. Her research focuses on the link between development process and cultural production and consumption in developing countries.
