Associate Professor, School of Management/City University of Seattle (Bratislava)

Maria Tajtakova is associate professor at the School of Management/City University of Seattle in Bratislava and guest lecturer at the Paneuropean University in Bratislava (Slovakia). At the same time she works as a performing artist in the field of opera. She did her PhD. in arts marketing and its application in opera houses in Slovakia, and her habilitation in audience development strategies in the arts. Her current research focuses on cultural consumption, creative industries and new media. Prior to her current position she worked as a senior researcher at the National Centre for European and Global Studies of the Slovak republic, associate professor at the University of Economics in Bratislava, marketing manager of the Slovak National Theatre and as a consultant of the Slovak Ministry of Culture. She was also an associate of the International Centre for Culture & Management in Salzburg, Austria.
