Medical imaging is of great interest in areas such as medical diagnostics, treatment planning and drug development. In Flanders, a very active research community is working with state-of-the-art imaging techniques involving several novel imaging modalities (e.g. different types of functional imaging) and the associated advanced image processing.
Mollet graduated as a Master in Engineering in 2008 at the University of Ghent.
In 2006, he also obtained a Master in Computer Sciences. From september 2008
till may 2009 he worked as a software architect and developer at Televic NV in
Since june 2009, Pieter Mollet is employed by the University of Ghent as a PhD researcher. He works at the MEDISIP research group of the department of Electronics and Informations Systems and the topic of his research mainly focusses on the development of attenuation correction for PET-MRI systems.
