prof.dr. Olga Van Oost

iMinds-SMIT (digital arts & cultures), FARO, Flemish Interface Institution for Cultural Heritage (staff member museums and digital culture)

Olga works at iMinds-SMIT at the Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) as a senior researcher on projects related to digital arts, culture, and heritage. In 2011 she obtained a research professor mandate in Digital Culture. She has been involved in a broad range of (international) research projects. At our research group iMinds-SMIT (Digital Arts & Cultures unit) we focus on social-scientific qualitative analysis of the interactions between communication media, culture, and the arts (curatorship as well as artisthood) in their social, political, institutional, and technical consequences;

Olga also works for FARO, the Flemish Interface Centre for Cultural Heritage, where she is staff member for museums. Currently she is outlining a track on (digital) museum studies.
