Alcatel-Lucent is a world-leading supplier in Telecom equipment. Bell Labs, the innovation engine of Alcatel-Lucent, has eight research centers In the world. The Bell Labs Antwerp Research Center, the largest ICT industrial research center in Belgium, is renowned throughout the world for its research on video & immersion, next generation access, telco cloud and connected devices. Its multi-disciplinary team of researchers and scientists work on today and tomorrow's ICT experiences that matter to people and society and that shape the communications of the 21st century.
Alcatel-Lucent Belgium is celebrating this year it’s 130th anniversary of its foundation in 1882 as “Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company”.
Rudi is in charge of a business plan competition for Alcatel-Lucent employees in EMEA, the so-called “Entrepreneurial Boot Camp”. Next to that, he coaches teams during the incubation phase, and he also does the marketing and communication for Bell Labs Belgium. Prior to his current role, Rudi worked between 2004 and 2009 as Triple Play marketing manager for Alcatel where he focused on IPTV, advertising & entertainment applications. Between 2002 and 2004, he worked in the DSL consultancy team of Alcatel's Fixed Communications Group where he worked with operators in Central and Eastern Europe. Between 2000 and 2002, he was product manager in an internal venture on the Alcatel 5742 Personalised Service Selector (PSS), an innovative software platform which enables applications over DSL networks.
Rudi will discuss the lessons learned after over 6 years of Alcatel-Lucent bootcamps.
